Press the Export Rumba Animation button on the Rumba shelf.
This command exports a .rumbaanim from the animation applied to your selected assets, controllers, or on all the controllers if nothing is selected.
You can script all this, see Export a .rumbaanim file from Maya.
Import the animation back in Rumba

Select an asset controller and press CTRL+A to select all the other asset controllers.
Use the Menu -> File -> Import Animation… command and select the .rumbanode file previously exported.
In case you want to import the animation on a channel selection:
Manually select the channels you want to import.
Use the Menu -> File -> Import Animation… command and select the .rumbanode file previously exported.
